I can remember a few months ago scrolling through my facebook and seeing a sponsored post from Proper Tasty or a page like that. It was advertising one of your videos. The caption was something along the lines of "she cuts the cake like this and…". I instantly recognised the picture they used from the video. It was your Taylor Swift Blank Space cake. I didn't watch the video that was attached to the post but I just knew it was your video. I really do hate these channels such a 5 minute Crafts and So Yummy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. 🙂

Finally, somebody got that these 30 second channels are the worst. Noy "Tasty" though, that channel is the best in easy to understand recipes
you should do a mythbusters type of series of this. show how unpractical shose type of channels are. 🙂
First so you know, you are one of the sources I go to when I want to try a new recipe with a technique I'm unfamiliar with. You are very good at instruction and showing how something is done.
Second I've seen the dried basil one before but it was on 5 minute crafts which watching that channel is a good way to raise your blood pressure! I saw the basil one and my roommates and cat all checked on me because I made such a pained noise. xD
I wouldn't be surprised if that channel and 5 minute crafts were owned by the same people ngl.
Wish YouTube would actually listen to their website users instead of the people who have monopoly-esque channels on the platform.
Even if they have more views and subscribers than you Ann, in my opinion YOURS IS STILL THE BEST out of all of them. That's final. Full stop.

Really interesting video and a lot of truth I agree. However, there are different but overlapping audiences for cooking and other craft content. Yours is presumably people that might be interested in making really complicated over the top, very time consuming and very expensive cakes. Those people need a voice over step by step. Another audience wants to sit back and watch somebody highly talented show the skills they have. That is me. These people don’t need a voice over for every second of a video, it’s borderline annoying. That audience is also 100 times bigger than those who intend making the recipe. They want to sit back and watch and are happy with compilation videos and this other channel you showed. YouTube only cares about getting the most watch time across the entire platform, and right or wrong, will move on from the people like yourself that made the platform what it is, as they only care about growth and what is next.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I wanted to let you know, I have been watching, and using your recipes, for my son's birthday cakes for years! Ever since he's been old enough to eat cake, he's had your buttercream icings! I've messed with the ingredients a bunch (making peanut butter icing, caramel flavoured, chocolate orange with chocolate orange ganache, which is a family favourite) and my entire family always devours it like crazy! They love my cakes! I made one yesterday, for my son's 9th birthday, and now my dad even wants to watch you for cake making recipes and ideas! You truly are thr best of the best Ann! It's sad how coorporations keep screwing over the "little guy," and BOY do I evet have a LOT to say about the evils of Capitalism, but I will watch the video first, and see if I have a response to that. For the time being, however, I just wanted to let you know, you've been a huge part of our celebrations, and my entire family absolutely love your icing recipes. I hope you can keep doing what you're doing, and know, at least my family and I are here, happily supporting you, even if we can only do so by watching, commenting, and subbing. I'll make sure my Dad is a subscriber before I leave my parents house for the holidays ♡.
I am so proud of you right now..because no one actually pointed out this nonsense happening across youtube. Youtubers like you, work really hard, put a lot of effort in, making high quality videos. I really wait for friday as i love your channel soo much! I dont remember when i first started watching your videos..I am just addicted to your creative ideas, cakes,chocolates..and especially your soothing voice! I feel like this video should be in ads that youtube put in before and between videos so as to get a wide attention of people. And the craziest fact is that no one actually tries their channel's recipe. I never knew that these hacks were actually a big fail. Thank you for trying out and making us know the reality happening. Lastly…NOOOOOOOOOO Dont upload every second weekk.. but when knowing the real stuffs happening… i should not be telling you this.. Really sad to hear that.. Anyways Thanks Ann!! Maybe instead of ice cream they have taken out pink coloured whipping cream from the fridge. That’s not right to cheat people who are genuine and also who are watching it wanting to try some of it.

Hi Ann, I love watching your videos, but I actually don't use it as a Tutorial. I often don't have the material or time to do so. Maybe you sometimes can put some easy to manage but cool looking cookies or cakes, and glutenfree recepes. That helps keeping the costs lower and maybe some new people will subscribe. I will watch either way, but I thought maybe it helps. Happy new year for later and hurray for your awesome work!
