IMO it makes more sense to get the liquid boiling before you put in the pasta, that way you have a better idea of how long it needs to cook.

Pasta puttanesca entails frying anchovies in a bit of olive oil and then the rest of those ingredients. You must be leaving them out to make it vegetarian.

1 pound of pasta is a lot. Did you really use that much? I had to add 1/2 – 1 cup more liquid to get have enough to cook the pasta and have sauce. Did I read this right or are the amounts wrong
